Pre and Post-doctoral Research Training Opportunities
The Hollings Cancer Center released an annual call for applications for pre and post-doctoral trainees for both a summer term and a full year term for those individuals interested in working in basic, translational, clinical or prevention and control research and supports 2-3 full year trainees and 3-5 summer trainees. The 2008 Applications are now under review.

Medical Science Training Program
The Hollings Cancer Center supports three students each year enrolled in the Medical Science Training Program in the College of Graduate Studies at MUSC. To apply to work with a cancer researcher, please contact the College of Graduate Studies

College of Graduate Studies: Cancer Biology Program
The Cancer Biology Program, an interdisciplinary program leading to a PhD degree, provides students with training in diverse areas of cancer biology research. Cancer is a multi-step disease resulting from a series of genetic and epigenetic changes that abrogate normal cellular controls. The goal of the program is to develop within each student the approach to scientific thought founded upon basic molecular and cellular approaches relevant to cancer. Clinical Oncology Training
The Hollings Cancer Center is a major venue for MUSC's training of the next generation of cancer specialists. For more information, please visit the clinical training sites below:

RBC Research Scholars Program  
The Hollings Cancer Center has a new partnership with Voorhees College through the RBC Research Scholars Program.  RBC Insurance will fund research in cancer disparities by students of Voorhees College through a five-year scholarship program.  The scholarship program is linked with MUSC's Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP).  Beginning in 2007, two scholarships per year will be awarded to Voorhees' students in conjunction with the Center for Excellence in Rural and Minority Health, which provides community-based health education programs, clinical services and health research.
